‘7’-SOUTH BROADWAY LINE (1932-1934)

Formed from the South Broadway branch of the ‘M’-Grand and Moneta Avenue Line, and the Santa Fe Depot branch of the ‘N’-West 9^th Street and Santa Fe Depot Line. Service begun June 12, 1932.

ROUTE: From W. 116^th Street and Athens Avenue, north on Athens, South Broadway, S. Broadway Place, Main and Spring Streets to W. 2^nd Street. Southeast on 2^nd to Traction Avenue to E. 3^rd Street, east on 3^rd to Santa Fe Avenue, north on Santa Fe to Depot at E. 2^nd Street.

NOVEMBER 11, 1934: Rerouted and renamed the ‘7’-South Broadway and Civic Center Line.

‘7’-SOUTH BROADWAY AND CIVIC CENTER LINE (1934-1955)

Formed from the ‘7’-South Broadway Line; service begun November 11, 1934.

ROUTE: From 116^th Street and Athens Avenue, north on Athens, South Broadway, South Broadway Place, Main and Spring Streets to Sunset Boulevard Line to the Santa Fe Depot transferred to the ‘9’-Line.

SEPTEMBER 12, 1948: Due to building the Hollywood Freeway, terminus cut back to Temple and Spring Streets.

JULY 17, 1949: Service restored to Sunset Boulevard and Spring Street.

MAY 5, 1955: Rail service abandoned.
